My gosh. I spent the whole of yesterday and today spamming Code Geass and it turned out to be like, ONE OF THE MOST AWESOME ANIMES EVER?! It's dramatic, full of action and superbly tragic. Definitely a favourite and a must-watch.
Turns out, I've also found my favourite character ever in the form of Lelouch. The hero of the show, of course. *Loves*
Another main character in Code Geass is Suzaku Kururugi. Lelouch's best friend. IMO, he was super lame in season 1 but somehow, evolves into a pretty cool dude at the end of season 2. Well, probably one of the reasons why I love Code Geass so much is because of it's fitting ending. Don't you agree that endings are usually super lame, predictable, disappointing or boring? Not Code Geass though. I was googling for Lelouch's pics just now and saw something like there's a season 3? Awesome!
Going shopping with Den the man, Bob the Builder and Van. Lol. Sounds like some circus. Can't wait!
My OPI polishes came todayyy! Ok, so it was only 2 bottles. They were pretty pricey. I was thinking the money could have been better spent on new clothes or something but it was worth it. Love love love the colours! Such joy on my fingertips ^^ I think I will go buy myself summore.
After the exams, there seem to be so much time. I could finally get things done like reorganising my extremely cluttered table, doing the laundry, ironing the laundry, cleaning Cream and Caramel's cages etc etc.. Speaking of which, I would have got myself reported to the Rabbit's Welfare Group or something if they ever saw the state they were in after the 2 weeks of exams. But was it sofa-king smelly or what?! I swear, a little piece of me died everytime I caught a whiff of Cream's crap. I was scolding him while clearing up the mess. (No, I'm not crazy. It builds a closer relationship to your pet, you know? Talking to your pet, that is. Lol.) And he had the cheek to give me this "Hmph! Keep quiet and clean it up well, won't you? I've been sitting in this pile of crap for 2 weeks already!" kind of look. So cute lah.. Haha. BUT annoying.
Before I go on sounding even more like a crazy old woman who talks to animals, apparently, during my trip to Thailand later this month, I'll be following my dad and his company staff to the top of some mountain where the temperature is like -5 degrees or something. Great. I have no appropriate clothing to wear up there. BUUUUT.. it just gave me a great excuse to start shopping! Hurr hurr hurr. If I join the spree for Victoria's Secret, I wonder how long the stuff would take to get here. Hmmm.. Decisions decisions..
I'm cute & I know it
Oh! I'm looking for a rabbit-sitter during the period when I won't be here. From the 22nd of Dec till the 31st. All you have to do is to feed them, make sure they have water, clean up their crap every 4 days and if you're feeling not too sane yourself, talking to them.. Actually my sister would be in Singapore but I haven't asked her yet and I get a feeling she's no good handling 2 bundles of fur which will keep struggling if you tried to carry them. So, any takers? :D
P/S: In case you're wondering why I have tons of photos on Cream but not much on Caramel.. It's cos Caramel's camera-shy. Aww.. So cute, huh? Guess Cream's more full-of-himself? Lol.
2 down, 2 to go. 1 of them happening just tomorrow! Can't wait for the exams to be over!
Pretty!
ANTM's Cycle 13 is finally over! (Not that I'm looking forward to its end, but I finally get to know who won!) NICOLE! :))) The weird, socially underdeveloped, awkward girl has transformed into a.. less awkward, kick-ass model. Lol. Btw, the 2 finalists were Laura and Nicole. Both of whom I support. Heh heh. What does this prove? What? That I have a good eye? Nah, you praise me so. Haha! In a way, Nicole's win was kind of unexpected since I felt that Laura's performance in the season finale episode was way better. Her runway walk was like BOOMZ (For fail of a more appropriate word. Seriously, Ris Low has affected my speech in more ways than I suspect). Her photos were good as well, though not as memorable as Nicole's ones. Somehow, seeing how she's all bubbly and sweet, I thought she'll be the one to clinch the prize but.. I guess the stars are smiling on Nicole and maybe, her awesome track record. Come on, she has like what? 3 or 4 best pictures? Anyways, what I wanna say is, I love ANTM lah! Next season, please!
Lady Gaga is so fantastically dramatic and talented in many ways. Like how she always manages to cover all her privates while being almost naked at the same time or when clothed, is always in the most outrageous outfits. Not to forget, being able to make out cool-sounding tunes with broken words and random syllables. Awesome song!
Rah-rah-ah-ah-ah-ah! Roma-roma-mamaa! Ga-ga-ooh-la-la! Want your bad romance
I rewatched Aladdin last Saturday. It beats reading extraction, filtration and centrifugation anytime plus I'm such a sucker for Disney's old classics. Somehow, I'm always left feeling happy and satisfied after watching them. Haha. The magic of Disney never fails to win me over aaand, I'm such a walking and talking Disney advertisement. Ok, come to think of it, I don't really qualify as one since I don't promote Miley Cyrus or Lindsay Lohan or Ashley Tisdale blah blah blah. (Except Zac Efron cos I think he'sHAWT!) IMO, Miley needs to grow up, Lindsay has gone crazy, Ashley has faded into the dust and Zac is HAWT! Did I just repeat myself over here?
I don't know why but Aladdin looks a little crazy over here
Anyways, back to the topic. The movie is still stuck in my head! It has been 6 days and everytime when I'm sitting around, minding my own business... "I can show you the world~~" creeps into my mind and spirals me away to dream land. Great move, ShiLei. This is sooo not helpful when the exams are coming. But, being the self-professed genius that I am, I've come up with a plan to pass on my earworm to everybody who reads my blog! (Hence, the song change). MUAHAHAHA!
Sound evil, much?
BUT, I just realised that my great plan would never work out, in light of the little views my blog gets. Ho hum. Just ignore me and my dramatic tendencies. Maybe I should stop insulting Tyra since I'm probably just as dramatic as she is. NOOO! THE HORROR.
I'm supposed to be preparing for my oral test tomorrow. Tidak oral itu! Maksud saya tidak belajar oral tapi bagaimana bercakap-cakap dengan orang lain dalam Bahasa Indonesia. (Sorry, I have no idea whether I'm making any sense in Indo either but if I am.. Heh heh.)
It's been a reeeaaaallllyyy long time since I last blogged. So contradictory to my last blog entry title. Heh heh. Today's a Saturday - the day when I always don't do anything and just laze around. It's so weird. I always wake up late on Saturdays (past lunch) switch on my laptop and sit in front of it for HOURS. I've been like that since.. forever I guess. And today's the same thing. Boo! I'm starting to think it's a condition.. Anyhow, the decision to blog just came as a whim and here I am!
Right now, I'm super hooked onto America's Next Top Model. The latest cycle, of course, where all the models are 5 foot 7 and below. How tall is 5 foot 7 anyway? But hell does Tyra look like a BBCG (Big Black Crazy Giant) when standing next to the lot of them. Sorry, but Tyra IS black and crazy. For example, in episode 4 or 3 or something? The models had to try SMIZE-ing, meaning smiling with their eyes. But you know how Tyra always like to dramatize everything. So, when the models got off their limo and went into the place, this crazy-looking little man started to yell at them and made them take photos. And he was raving on and on about how all of them sucked and couldn't give him a great picture in just one shot. In walks Tyra with glasses and a trenchcoat, raising her hand and asking timidly for a chance for a shot (she's acting of course). So the little man (who by now, we know is an actor), was protesting and all that but Tyra just walked up to the shooting scene and started giving weird poses and all. Little man got SUPER pissed and started verbally abusing Tyra. Here comes the eye-rolling part. Tyra went "You are making me angry.." etc etc and ROAR! She tore off her trenchcoat, exposing the slinky superhero suit she had underneath, complete with a cape that says SMIZE. And she started SMIZE-ing and there were lightning bolts shooting out of her eyes and all. Kinda like those old Chinese movies when 2 guys fight with swords in the air. So, little man starts going "NO! NO! YOU ARE KILLING ME WITH YOUR EYES!"
-.-"
I don't really understand how those models find it hilarious. It just made my eyeballs get stuck in my skull.
Nicole
Laura
Anyways, FYI, I'm rooting for Nicole and Laura! Nicole is so awkward and weird. She's different from other models i.e. not bitchy. Laura is the country girl who goes BAM BAM BAM while posing. I guess she's not bitchy as well? So far I haven't seen her talking bad about anybody. And she's really sweet. They have some really great shots that I couldn't find on Google. Yet. So I'll probably post them up when I can find them. (Found them!) I think both of them would end up in the top 3 but not sure who's going to win though.
Currently, my lovely Indian neighbours are having a party. Did you know they own this drum? Not as in the drum in a drum set. More like a traditional Indian drum. And they are so kind as to allow me to enjoy the rhythms which they are thumping out on it now. So loud and headache-causing, like the footsteps of African elephants. Thanks alot! NOT.
Coincidentally, today is Halloween. And of course, it calls for a re-read of the very popular tale: The Legend of Sleepy Hollow. One of my favourites :) Till the next post! Sampai nanti! Lol.
Blogger has finally stopped trying to be a bitch. I decided to take this as a sign to revive my (seemed to be forsaken) blog. To be exact, my blog has always been active. Behind the scenes, at least. I've many half-written blog entries awaiting completion. So, if you happen to read back, you might see a few new ones popping up.
Well, it has already been a month or so since the official start of the new semester. And, it is also over a month or so that I've been taking up Bahasa Indonesia. Muahaha! Now I can understand whatever the Malay people are speaking. So cool. I think the classes are really fun. It's like going back to your kindergarten days when teachers use picture cards to teach you something. Plus, I got to sing this children's song today. It's dam cute lah. It's about a round hat. Lol!
Hey Harry! I found your hat!
Have just signed for a package for facial sessions at Shine, Citispa despite warnings from Mag. Haha! But I have been wanting to go for facials since like forever. Just that the timing is right now (I have money + promo time). I went for my first session today at Jurong Point and was kinda disappointed that the new place was actually very, extremely small. After I was introduced to my specialist (is that the correct term?), I had a mild shock when she asked me to strip off and wear this unflattering burgundy coloured sack. It was only after that when I realised she was also my masseuse and had to give me a chest (not boobs), neck, shoulders massage during my treatment (which was frickin' good btw). The only thing was she kept going 'tut-tut' at the state of my skin, exclaiming how it was so dirty all - which she proved, after giving me hell from the blackhead remover tool, by showing me all the stuff she managed to dig up, dumped unceremoniously onto a piece of tissue. I think her remarkable ability in unearthing stuff proves that if she somehow manages to lose her job as my specialist, she would do great as an archeologist. Or a gravedigger. Or even a tomb raider! The next Lara Croft perhaps?
It's been a long time since I last did up a Would You Rather. I think having it once a week is kinda difficult once school has started. Thanks to my bloody timetable. So, I'll just do it whenever I feel like it, which I hope doesn't result in having too long breaks in between each question. Probably will do one up tomorrow if I feel like it. And pooey!! Just realised that I'm too broke to buy anything from Bonitochico which would be updating tomorrow. Oh wells, will still check it out anyway. And maybe psycho someone to help me pay for it first.
I am sick! No, not that kind of sick. I'm down with the flu. And no, it's not h1n1 you pessimistic people. Just old, normal, nothing out of the extraordinary flu. Don't worry! I'm not going to go on and on about what happened today in my nice and dandy life. That's just sooo boring, don't you think? Plus, we all know life is contradictory in so many ways, so why piss people off by reiterating how I lead my everyday life?
Anyways, so I went to see the doctor in the morning and oh my gosh was there alot of people. After registering with the grumpy lady at the counter, I trudged over to sit down on a hard plastic chair with a stiff back. And that was when I realised, I plopped myself directly opposite an Indian guy (most probably a foreign worker due to his outward appearance and weak grasp of English - I'm stereotyping!) who looked like Nightcrawler's brother. That is, without the blue skin, yellow irises, long tail (I would love to meet someone with one) and symbols carved into the skin.
He really does look like this! Minus all the mutant-like stuff
As I was marvelling at this uncanny resemblence, Nightcrawler was summoned by the grumpy lady at the counter to collect his medications and proceed to somewhere else to get an chest X-ray. (Yeah, I eavsdropped. Unintentionally. I'm no Jean Grey). The poor guy had to take an X-ray! Which kind of explains why he kept breathing in a loud, stalkerish kind of way. Maybe he had some minor accident at whichever construction site all around Singapore. It was then when previously read and supposedly, forgotten newspaper articles on the welfare of foreign workers came swimming up to the surface of my mind. The mentioned newspaper articles are in fact, small columns with minimal words which never once described construction accidents in detail. The editior writes in an impersonal way stating that so and so, foreign worker, has been involved in an accident while working in a construction site and has unfortunately, lost his life. Minimal comments are also taken from the victim's friends and coworkers (like one or two). In total, it is like only a couple of sentences maybe? And the rest of the article then rants on and on about construction resuming and may we look forward to our new what nots popping up in our garden city.
Well, I'm not going to criticise anyone here, seeing that I'm not some advocate of Banglah welfare. In fact, I believe I only became aware of our treatment towards these foreign workers after taking my SS module. However, I do feel that we need to treat our foreign workers with more respect. Yes, we are all capable of stereotyping others and thinking them below our level. But would you be happy if someone else stereotypes you for a change? An overrated example I can draw would be Westerners thinking that all Asian people have small eyes. Again, I'm not implying all Caucasians or Westerners think like that. Just the general idea amongst them. This is what I tell myself. Yet, I, who am guilty of finding foreign workers disgusting, pervertic and beneath me, find it very difficult to remove them from this stigma. I just hope I would be able to see them as equals in time and then, at least, I would not a hypocrite for expressing my views.
